About Susan Duffy

Susan Duffy received her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in theatre history and criticism.   She has published six books, four of which deal with theatre history and American cultural history:  The Political Left in the American Theatre of the 1930'sA Bibliographic Sourcebook (1992), American Labor on Stage: Dramatic Interpretations of the Steel and Textile Industries in the 1930's (1996), The Political Plays of Langston Hughes (2000), and with Paul Adalian Artists and iInfluenceThe Journal of the Archives of Black American Culture (2000). Additionally, she has published over two dozen articles and book chapters.  She is the recipient of the University Distinguished Teaching Award as well as the University Distinguished Service Award.
