International Folk Dance

Passed away March 28, 2014

Anne & Norm Tiber had actively participated in, researched and taught International Folk Dance since the early 1970s. They taught at a variety of community and university settings involving children, adults and seniors. Their approach emphasized both the social aspects of folk dancing as well as didactic material regarding the cultural contexts of the hundreds of dances in their repertoire. They joined the Theatre and Dance Department as volunteer faculty in 2004. Our department is deeply saddened by the passing of Norm. He will be greatly missed.
