About Linnea Valdivia

Linnea Valdivia (they/she) received their M.A. in interdisciplinary Theatre and Drama studies from Northwestern University, and their B.A. in English Literature (minors in Theatre and Gender Studies) from Whitman College. She has worked as a professional dramaturg, producer and theatre administrator for over a decade. Both their academic and artistic work seek to uplift trans and queer stories that live in the margins of hegemonic histories.

Linnea has worked at or with:  Steppenwolf Theatre Company (Chicago), About Face (Chicago), Denver Center for Performing Arts (CO), San Luis Obispo Repertory Theater (CA), the Anthropologists (NYC), the Lark (NYC), National Queer Theater (NYC), Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Ashland), Curious Theatre (Denver), Art House Productions (Jersey City), Playwrights Realm (NYC) and New Dramatists(NYC).
