Each year the Theatre Program provides a number of workshop opportunities for students. Professionals from various disciplines of the entertainment industry work with the students in a small classroom setting. Past workshops have focused on topics such as Acting for the Camera and Stage-management.
Clowning: led by Karin Hendricks, resident actor at PCPA. Saturday Janurary 7th from 10:00am to 2:00pm in Building 45 Room 212. Theatre majors/minors only. The workshop will be limited to 8-14 students. (Students are asked to wear solid black attire with hair pulled away from the face.)
Unarmed Stage Combat: led by Peter Hadres, resident actor/artistic associate at PCPA. Saturday January 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00pm in Building 45 room 212. (Students are asked to dress in comfortable clothing that allows room to move freely. Dance shoes are best. Please no jewelry.)
Auditioning: led by Erik Stein, casting director for PCPA Theaterfest and recruitment coordinator for The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA). Friday April 6 1pm-5pm. Limited to 15 students. (Those who wish to get up on their feet and work need to come prepared with one monologue no longer than 90 seconds (contemporary or classical), and please bring your picture and resume, if you have one. Those who just wish to observe are welcome.)
Dance Master Classes and Workshops Each year the Dance Program provides opportunities for students to learn from dance professionals. Master classes and/or workshops are offered in areas such as choreography.
