Christy McNeil Chand
Assistant Professor, Christy McNeill Chand, earned her BFA in dance from Cornish College of the Arts where she studied on a full scholarship granted by the Kreielsheimer Foundation. At Cornish she performed with Cornish Dance Theatre, received the Outstanding Dance Major Award, and her choreography was chosen to represent Cornish at the American College Dance Festival.
She completed three contracts for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, two as Dance Captain and Company Manager. At age fifteen, she performed in the Rudolf Nureyev Ballet Festival in Kazan, Russia as a member of Evergreen City Ballet and was honored to dance at the Artissima Festival of Art in Turin, Italy with Chamber Dance Company in 2010. Christy has been faculty at Cornish, Shoreline College, and Sammamish High School where she created the dance curriculum.
In October of 2011, she presented her research on stretching and the jazz dance warm up at the NDEO national conference in Minneapolis and at the DEAW conference in Washington state. She received her MFA in dance from the University of Washington in June of 2012.

Stanton is an Associate Professor of Dance at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She received her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her B.A. in Dance from the University of California at Irvine.
Stanton's choreography has been presented professionally in many venues including Jumpbrush Pacific Dance Convergence, McCallum Theatre's Choreography Under the Stars Festival in Palm Desert, CA, UC Irvine; CU Boulder; Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop; Dancers for Life, a benefit for AIDS at Riverside Community College; Cal Poly; Allan Hancock College; the LA Open Festival; and several American College Dance Festivals throughout the U.S.
She is the founder and Co-Artistic Director of Variable Velocity Performance Group in San Luis Obispo, CA and was a founding member of Jumpbrush in San Luis Obispo. In addition, Diana has also taught at World Rhythm and Motion Dance Studio, Cuesta College, Allan Hancock College, the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts, CU Boulder, Riverside Community College (residency) and the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop.
Walter is a Cal Poly graduate and Orchesis alumna. She received an M.A. in Dance Education from Stanford University. Michelle is the founder of the Cuesta College Dance Company, Entourage. She has been the director of that company for the past 11 years and an instructor of dance at Cuesta for 20 years.
Michelle has taught and performed with the Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo and Gilbert Reed Ballet. While on sabbatical in England, she studied in London and Cambridge, and performed at the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
Designer and Technical Director
Clint serves as the lighting designer for Orchesis and is the technical director for all theatre and dance department productions. Previous Cal Poly productions include Crossroads, Vitality, As You Like It, and Black Cat Cabaret.
Clint spent seven seasons as the Resident Lighting Designer for the Rogue Theatre Company in Tucson and has designed for theatre and dance companies in Arizona and California. Clint holds a BFA in Theatre Production from the University of Arizona.
