Roddy Kennedy

2020 Friday Speaker Series

Each week, Cal Poly’s Theatre and Dance Department hosts an hour-long Zoom interview with an exciting Theatre-Maker. The interview is guided by questions generated by Cal Poly’s theatre students.

We are pleased that our Guest this week is actor: Roddy Kennedy.

Roddy Kennedy is honored to be able to speak with a local 805 college!! He is a proud alumni of PCPA and currently (well to be continued) Male Swing and “on and off” Dance Captain for the Broadway Production of Hamilton. He has been fortunate to travel the world and across the US a few times in touring shows like In The Heights (Graffiti Pete), Fame, The Pajama Game (Steam Heat Dancer), Grease (Sonny) and a dancer for Royal Caribbean to name a few. He’s held numerous Fight Captain and DC positions. He loves to try and stay actively creating/collaborating, choreographing, and directing. Some of his choreography can be seen in the award-winning musical film farce “Waiting in the Wings”. Stay safe in these crazy times and continue to find moments to breathe gratitude and laugh often!!
